There were five entries in this years competition and all were of a very good standard making this one of the closest competitions in many years.
The three judges, club members Barry Robertson, Ian Cartwright and Richard Stent, gave marks for each print and the totals were added up at the end of the event.
Christine Sindall's first entry in a club competition saw her take third place, second went to Gerry Simpson and the winner, by one point, was Dave Dixon.
Dave's first picture was Dunstanburgh Castle From Embleton Bay, the second, titled Morning Mist was a lovely monochrome landscape and his third was Underneath Orion, a colour landscape taken using a long exposure which showed the movement of the stars in the night sky. A technically difficult picture to take, superbly executed.
Thanks to all the entrants for making this such a good competition.
